Notes =>Ashes are collected from the fire which has burnt in the temple in front of the deity, and devotees apply them to the forehead as a blessing. Devotees may take them with them and in times of difficulties they may also apply these ashes. The belief is that ashes will protect them.

Notes =>To fulfill one’s wishes vows are taken, either secretly in one’s heart or in front of relations, friends, etc. The vow is taken in the temple, in the village, at home, etc. For fulfilling, most of the time, one has to go in the temple or it consists in giving a saree, etc. to another woman at home, etc.
