Formerly, marriages used to take place generally in the month of Vaishakh which is a summer month. So, sweating with new clothes and ornaments was normal. But here, the reference is also to the new bride who along with new clothes and ornaments was also weighed down by her new status, new responsibility, in the new family. At such a moment, when the young bride is in a confused state of mind, her maternal uncle is there as her support.
