सांगते बाळा तुला आपल्या नंदीची आना दिंडी
nācaṇī maḷītē dāṇa kāḍhala ēka khaṇḍī
sāṅgatē bāḷā tulā āpalyā nandīcī ānā diṇḍī
I thrash Nachani, I take out one Khandi (a measure of weight = twenty maunds) of grains
I tell you, son, bring our bullocks, accompanied by music (to the thrashing floor) in procession as if for Dindi*

Notes =>Here the word Dindi* is used in a spiritual sense. The harvested crop, cultivated with so much of labour and hard work, is like God’s Prasad*. They have the same sacred feeling for taking the crop to their house.
