Grindmill songs of Maharashtra — Song #100900 by Maid Vijaya Kantilal

Village: शिरुर - Shirur

D:X-3.2jiii (D10-03-02j03) - Mother attached to son / Taking pride in son / When son migrates to city / He has forgotten village language

The Mumbai culture and the Village culture are two different cultures. Mumbai and the village are two separate entities. The person who goes to Mumbai not only forgets the language they speak in the village but also their vilage customs and practices. So, the people in the village say that you no longer belong to the village, you have become a real Bombaite. You have forgotten the village.
