Notes =>The word Chira means a chiseled stone as well as a turban. A son is like a chiseled stone of the house as well as its pride for a mother. His coming under the influence of an evil eye is like a chiseled stone becoming loose from the soil and alienating from it, as also, the Chira, turban on the head becoming loose. A turban adds to his elegance, a reason for the evil eye affecting him. In this song, mother expresses her feeling that nothing should affect her son’s reputation and dignity.
